As every licenced firearm owner will know, there is a mandatory minimum number of events which much be attended annually to meet the requirements of their licence.
At the date this post was published (15 Sep 24), the following requirements exist:
Licence holders must nominate a principal club for their licence conditions where they are a member of more than one Club;
Hunting Club Members must "...participate in no less than 2 hunting club events"; or
Sport / Target Shooters must "...participate in not less than 4 shooting activities by an approved shooting club"
The NSW Firearms Registry has detailed information in relation to the requirements, which can be found at: https://www.police.nsw.gov.au/online_services/firearms/licences#GR
To improve the Club compliance as well as assisting members meet their own licence record keeping requirements, we have added a new record keeping facility to the website in the members area under the menu item "Record a shoot or event".
This facility is a self service facility and each member is responsible for keeping their own records up to date - which includes notifying the Club of any relevant participation.
Any members who do not have website access can provide their records in writing at any routine Club meeting.
