Firearms Licencing
Being a member of our Club is just one aspect of firearms licencing and ownership.
The Firearms Registry is a branch of the NSW Police Service. They are responsible for administering the operational aspects contained in the Firearms Act 1996 (NSW).
The Firearms Registry has a useful website for anyone requiring information in relation to firearms ownership and use.
The Firearms Registry website can be found here:

The process to gain a firearms licence is completed entirely online, and is broadly as follows:
-
Ensure you have an active "MyServiceNSW" account
-
Have proof of identity documents (eg Birth Certificate or Passport and Drivers Licence or Rates Notice)
-
Firearms Safety Training Certificate (following completion of an accredited course)
-
Documents supporting your genuine reason. We supply our members with a Club membership certificate or card as evidence of this.
-
Evidence of your "special need" if you are applying for a category other than Category "A". Most recreational hunters require at least a Category "B" licence in order to be able to hunt with a calibre suitable for the game they are hunting.
-
A valid Visa or Mastercard for payment of licencing fees
